The 2008 Festival launches with a special screening of Dance Beyond the Steps: Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater to kick off a three day celebration of Alvin Ailey Artistic Director, Judith Jamison. Following the film Ms. Jamison will sit down with Pearl Cleage to discuss her journey from Primary Dancer to Artistic Director of one of the most celebrated contemporary dance companies in the world.
